About Leslie

A tutor who knows Williamson County families

I'm Leslie Dykstra — a certified early childhood specialist with 10+ years working with young learners across Williamson County. I started Little Minds, Big Futures because I believe every child deserves a tutor who truly sees them, not just their reading level.

Franklin is a big town, and the families I work with come from all over it — Westhaven and Fieldstone Farms on the west side, McKay's Mill and the Cool Springs area near I-65, and Berry Farms on the south end, which is just a few minutes from Arrington by Highway 96. Wherever you are, in-home sessions come to you: your kitchen table, your child's favorite reading spot, whatever helps them settle in and focus.

Franklin children may attend Williamson County Schools (like Oak View or Hunters Bend elementaries) or the Franklin Special School District (Franklin, Johnson, Liberty, Moore, and Poplar Grove elementaries), and I tutor children from both, along with private school and homeschool families. Many parents reach out after a teacher mentions their child is "a little behind" in reading, letter sounds, or math — and catching that early, at ages 4 to 8, is exactly when one-on-one help does the most good.

I serve Franklin families with in-home sessions (I come to you), studio sessions in Arrington, and online sessions for families who prefer it. The drive between Franklin and Arrington is an easy 20 minutes by Highway 96 — and the work we do together is worth it.
